Let's get personal:
I graduated from Brian Utting School of Massage, Seattle, WA in August 2005. Having received over 1000 hours of massage training focusing heavily on deep tissue and injury treatment massage, I honestly feel I received one of the best massage trainings available in the United States.
My current focuses lean toward integrating a therapeutic deep tissue approach with Hot Stones and biodynamic craniosacral. The integration of these approaches allows for very effective change and healing in the body.
When people ask, how long have you been doing massage, I tell them, “since I was in fourth grade.” As a former gymnast, I was first exposed to massage at the age of ten years old when I would do massage trades with my teammates after rigorous gymnastics training.
I had the good fortune of living and working for four years in community at Breitenbush Hot Springs. Being immersed in the old growth forests, hot springs, and being exposed to countless spiritual and philosophical teachings had a profound impact on my own awakening into living as a conscious being. During this time at Breitenbush, I received hundreds of really good massages which deeply effected my life and helped me prepare to become a highly skilled massage therapist. Massage and healthy healing touch has always been a part of my life and I feel so fortunate to have found a profession that is so rewarding and gratifying.
I am married to an incredible woman, Krystina, who is also a massage therapist, Doula, birth educator, mother of our three boys. Most Certainly, I have grown to appreciate the dedication, selfless service and rewarding sacrifice of parenthood.
I have been very blessed to have had so many amazing life experiences, all of which add up to make me who I am today and support my ability to be a (very humbly stated) really good massage therapist and health coach.
